# Replaces Home icon

## The problem

> "the home logo is the old pool HAUS logo. And it should be like a cloud thing or maybe just like a traditional house."

- The sidebar's first icon carried a brand we no longer use.

## What we considered

### A. A plain house {chosen}

![A](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/home-icon/65A.png)
- Clearest at small size; matches the other icons.

### B. Outlined brand cloud

![B](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/home-icon/65B.png)
- On brand; less obviously Home.

### C. The full brand mark

![C](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/home-icon/65C.png)
- Repeats the logo just above it.

### D. House under a cloud

![D](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/home-icon/65D.png)
- Busiest at small size.

### E. House with one wave

![E](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/home-icon/65E.png)
- Pool hint; still close to the old glyph.

### F. Sunrise for today

![F](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/home-icon/65F.png)
- Matches the phone's Today; less familiar.

## What we went with

- Home is now a plain house in the sidebar.
- The old glyph is gone.
- The phone app had no old glyph, so nothing changed there.

The Home icon now looks like home. It matches the other sidebar icons.
