Replaces Home icon

#65
PoolCloud web app

The problem

"the home logo is the old pool HAUS logo. And it should be like a cloud thing or maybe just like a traditional house."

  • The sidebar's first icon carried a brand we no longer use.

What we considered

  1. A
    Shipped
    A

    A plain house

    • Clearest at small size; matches the other icons.
  2. B
    B

    Outlined brand cloud

    • On brand; less obviously Home.
  3. C
    C

    The full brand mark

    • Repeats the logo just above it.
  4. D
    D

    House under a cloud

    • Busiest at small size.
  5. E
    E

    House with one wave

    • Pool hint; still close to the old glyph.
  6. F
    F

    Sunrise for today

    • Matches the phone's Today; less familiar.

What shipped

  • Home is now a plain house in the sidebar.
  • The old glyph is gone.
  • The phone app had no old glyph, so nothing changed there.

The Home icon now looks like home. It matches the other sidebar icons.
