# Hardens customer setup

## The problem

- Some customers had no primary location for pools and stops.
- Services went missing, or started before the customer was ready.
- Yearly prices on the sign-up link failed.

## What we considered

### A. Button on Services tab {chosen}

![A](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/customer-setup/42A.png)
- Where a missing service shows; easy to miss.

### B. Menu on status pill {chosen}

![B](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/customer-setup/42B.png)
- Always in the header; hidden behind a tap.

### C. Link on onboarding strip {chosen}

- Beside the card and terms paths.

## What we went with

- Every customer gets a primary location when created.
- Service starts once a card is saved or invoice terms are accepted.
- New services land in Unscheduled, ready to route.
- The office can start service without a payment method, with a reason.

Customers move from lead to scheduled along one path, and all three override spots open the same sheet. An hourly check flags broken records.
