# Redesigns board stop status

## The problem

> "maybe something that indicates that the tech is there, or one of our on-brand loading indicators… think creatively, use our brand."

- On site showed waves, not who.
- Problems were text flags.

## What we considered

### A. Board as built

![A](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48A.png)
- Baseline.

### B. Technician is there {chosen}

![B](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48B.png)
- Initials, ring, minutes on site.

### C. Brand loader disc

![C](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48C.png)
- On brand; heavy.

### D. Pool fills up

![D](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48D.png)
- Hard to read small.

### E. Sweeping progress ring

![E](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48E.png)
- Doesn't say who.

### F. Route as rail {chosen}

![F](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48F.png)
- Whole day, one line.

### G. Quiet status chips

![G](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48G.png)
- Colour-blind safe; roomy.

### H. Map pin states

![H](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48H.png)
- Map only.

### I. One problem vocabulary

![I](https://updates.poolcloud.com/media/poolcloud/board-stop-status/48I.png)
- Pairs with any.

## What we went with

- On site: initials, breathing ring, minutes; orange "!" when over.
- A rail joins stops: green done, blue dash driving, grey ahead.
- Map and phone match.

You see who is where and how far each route has come. Late and no-access colours come later.
