# Links AI assistant directions

## The problem

> "whenever it's telling me where to go in the app… can some of those actually be clickable and actually make good navigation?"

- Directions named screens as plain words.
- People had to find each screen by hand.

## What we considered

### A. Path chips, take me there

- One tap to the screen; the steps sit apart.

### B. Steps with linked screens {chosen}

- Every screen named in the steps is one tap away.

### C. Spotlight the button

- Rings the button after the click; more moving parts.

## What we went with

- Screens in directions are links; buttons are bold, never links.
- A path line leads, with Take me there to the last screen.
- Every linked screen is checked to exist.

When you ask the AI assistant where something is, the screens it names are links. Tap one and you are there, with the button to press named in bold.
